Complete free services for all pilgrims visiting Varanasi and staying at our Satram

Free Annadanam (Meals)

From 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM: milk, curd, butter, ghee, panchamirtham, paneer, sugar, sandalwood, vibhuti. Evening free full meals for all pilgrims.

Free Accommodation

Clean, safe free rooms at Kasi and all chatrams for pilgrims. Rooms available for families and individuals. No charge for accommodation during your pilgrimage stay.

Kasi Pilgrimage Assistance

Guidance to Kashi Vishwanath Temple, assistance with ear-piercing, upanayanam, Vishweshwara abhishekam and all sacred rituals performed during the Kasi pilgrimage.

Locker Facilities

Secure locker facility at the Karaikudi head office (Locker Division) for pilgrims to safely store valuables, jewellery and important documents during travel.

Ganga Snana Assistance

Assistance arranging the sacred Ganga bath, ancestral rites (pitru karya), pinda daan and other holy rituals on the ghats of the Ganges river.

Medical Assistance

Medical assistance and emergency services available for pilgrims who need help during their stay at any of the satrams.

Temples at Kasi Nagara Satram

Sacred temples within and near the satram premises

Kasi Vishweshwara Temple

The most important Shiva temple in Kasi. The first darshan for all pilgrims. The golden spire is iconic.

Visalakshi Amman Temple

Built in 1893 by the Nagarathar community. Four-time abhishekam performed during Maha Sivaratri. The main temple of the satram complex.

Annapurni Amman Temple

The goddess of food and nourishment. Worship of Annapurni at Kasi is especially auspicious and blesses pilgrims with abundance.

Nagaresvara Temple (Kolkata)

In a 35-floor building on Strand Road, Kolkata. Built by Nattukottai Nagarathar. Year-round pujas. Important for Nagarathar devotees in Eastern India.

Singara Murugeswara Temple

The main temple of the Nagarathar community deity Singara Murugeswara. Historically connected to the founding of the satram service.

Tarakeshwara Temple

Famous Shivalinga temple in West Bengal. 36 miles from Kolkata. Pilgrims pour milk on the lingam. The Nagarathar chatram is nearby.

Visalakshi Temple — Special Details

The temple was built by the Nagarathar community and consecrated (Kumbabishekam) on the 25th of Thai month in 1893. Visalakshi Amman is believed to be an extremely powerful deity.
